The Gateway Resilience Run

March 28 & May 2, 2021

Description

The Gateway Resilience Run is BACK for 2021! This time run or walk with us in-person or participate virtually. With two in-person options, a Half Marathon at Creve Coeur Lake on Sunday, March 28th and a 5 Mile at Forest Park on Sunday, May 2nd, we're excited to finally and safely allow the running community to come together! Not ready to join us in person? That's okay, run or walk virtually! Regardless of how you log your miles, ALL participants earn coveted, collectable Gateway Resilience medals, premium swag and digital finisher certificates. This year's medal set links together AND, if you ran or walked with us last year, fit nicely into your existing Gateway Resilience Run medal collection

Continuing in Gateway Resilience fashion, we're not just running or walking for fun. This year's charity partner is the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. 100% of your donations, plus a portion of every registration will go to the Urban League to help them realize their mission of empowering African Americans and others throughout the St. Louis region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality and civil rights.

Due to COVID restrictions, and out of an abundance of safety, our in-person numbers will be limited. Sign up today and don't miss out. We hope you can join us!

START PROCEDURE
To ensure the safety of all participants of the Gateway Resilience Runs and ensure everyone has plenty of space on-course, small waves of participants will leave the start line every 10 minutes. When registering, participants will submit an estimated per mile pace which will be used to place corrals with the fastest corrals going first and moving backward from there. Final wave assignments will be shared two weeks before the event.

BOTH RACES WILL START AT 7:30 AM

The first wave will leave the start line at 7:30 AM. Final waves will be scheduled depending on County and City health department guidance and how many will be allowed to run in each wave.

Wave Start Schedule
6:30 AM - Packet pick-up opens
7:00 AM - Announcements begin
7:20 AM - First wave called to the line
7:30 AM - First wave start.
7:40 AM - Second wave start, followed by waves every ten minutes.

NOTE: If runners miss their designated start wave they will start with the next or next closest wave. The start line during each waves will be open for 8 minutes and then close in order to stage the next wave. Runners will not be able to move up to run with their friends, family members, etc.  They must move back to run with friends, family members, etc. if those members are assigned to later waves.
